Dr. Freeman supports recruitment, admissions, and student success efforts for UNC’s Biological & Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP). Dr. Freeman also serves as director of the NIH-funded IMSD program. In this role she works to broaden participation in the biomedical research workforce and promote the development and success of biomedical PhD students including those from groups that have historically had limited opportunities in biomedical research.
